Smart Girl

SmartGirl club for 6th grade is signing up girls who would like to come have fun with us!! Spots are limited so sign up quickly!! SmartGirl classes are FREE, weekly meetings for 10 weeks where girls can have fun together learning about things such as how to handle conflict, bullying and peer pressure, communication skills, teamwork, self confidence and self esteem. Sessions are run by high school aged mentors along with adult volunteers. For more information about SmartGirl, please check out the website at www.smartgirl.org Registration form (attached) must be completed and turned in to the counseling office by -2-15.  Club meets each Thursday from 3-4:30 . Transportation to be arranged by parent/guardian.

Tutor Help!

Tutor Doctor and The Carbon Valley Recreation Center are teaming up to offer Homework Help!! Thursday afternoons from 4:30-7:30. Tutor Doctor will have a tutor (or tutors, depending on preregistration information) to help students with their homework.

The opportunity is open to 1 st 12 th grade students from the Carbon Valley Area.

Each student must bring their own homework. The cost is $5.00 per student.

Students must be able to work independently and quietly while the tutor is helping other students. Preregistration is STRONGLY recommended to ensure that we have enough tutors AND so that we can meet each student’s academic needs. To register: Have parents contact the Rec Center at 303-833-3660 before 2:00pm on Thursday to register

Heart Smart

Hoops for Heart has officially kicked off at Coal Ridge Middle School! Our Hoops for Heart program will engage your children in fun physical activity, while also providing them with vital educational information about heart health. Every child at Coal Ridge Middle School will benefit from the program. While the charitable giving is optional, we hope you’ll help us in reaching our goal of $1,000 . If you haven’t already done so, please register online by searching Coal Ridge Middle School (select our city and state) at www.heart.org/ hoop or turn in your envelopes with cash donations at the conclusion or our program. Don’t forget that you can also join the fun by downloading the mobile app. Just visit Apple iTunes or the Google Play Store and search for Jump/Hoops. Art News

If you missed it during conferences, make sure you check out all the amazing new student

artwork on display around the upper level of the commons. There are Abstract Animal

Drawings from 6th grade, Optical Illusions from 7th grade, and Cubist Paintings from 8th

grade.

Attention all parents: Please log into Infinite Campus weekly to keep up on your child’s

progress and grades. If any contact information changes or is incorrect, please let us know.

School fees and RevTrack

Class fees have been loaded, please log into IC or Revtrak to pay your student fees.

Lunch accounts

Lunch accounts can also be paid on line at: myschoolbucks.com This is a new website.

You may also send cash or check to school and it will be put into your student account.

Write checks to CRMS. Please fill out a Free/Reduced form if needed. They are available

in the main office.

Homework Club

Looking for a quiet place to work with a teacher available for questions? Then

Homework Club is for you! No need to sign up but once you check in you must stay until 4 p.m. unless an adult signs you out. This year all grade levels will meet in the IMC where two teachers and all of the media resources will be available.
