The continued safety, well-being, and success of our students, teachers, staff, and community has always been our top priority as we navigate the complex and evolving coronavirus crisis. To this end, we are updating our reopening plan to begin the school year in a fully online-learning model for all students which will continue through the last week of September. All students in grades 1-12 will begin on August 18, kindergarten students will begin on August 20.
Dear Coal Ridge Middle School Students and Families,
We know that this is a challenging time for everyone and greatly appreciate your continued partnership and support. We are deeply committed to the well-being of our students and would like to keep you informed on how our counseling team will continue to provide services during our school closure. As you can imagine, facilitating school counseling activities in a remote setting can present some challenges, however, we are here to provide students with academic support, social/emotional support, college/career planning, or other needs as they arise. As always, we will continue to collaborate with teachers and our school administration to support students in all areas.
Throughout the next few weeks, we encourage anyone to reach out via email, during our scheduled office hours, or schedule individual appointments where we can chat virtually or by phone. If you need emergency assistance, please see 211 Colorado and Colorado Crisis Services for Emergency Resources.
We will continue to adhere to the same ethical guidelines and procedures around student safety that we always have, and will do our best to maintain the highest level of privacy. It is important to note that there are some limitations with counseling in a virtual setting, and we encourage students to follow responsible use of technology, just as they would in a school setting.
