Think back to when you were a student, back-to-school shopping, finding your classroom, and the exciting lessons that would soon fill your day. The first day of school jitters that were calmed by the friendly, welcoming face, and celebrating the “ah ha” moments when you finally figured out how to solve the problem. Then there was the time in kindergarten, when you went to the restroom but couldn’t remember the way back to your classroom. As panic set in, that friendly face walked around the corner and they knew exactly where your classroom was.
Parents and community members are invited to come join Coal Ridge Principal, Brian Young, to discuss topics related to CRMS on October 21st. Hear about exciting things going on and get answers to questions you may have.
Three times are available to suit different schedules. 8:00 am - 9:00 am, 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm, and 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
These meetings are in place of the scheduled PTO Meeting this month.
We have exciting news to share. Parent Schoology accounts are on their way. If you haven’t already heard, we adopted Schoology as our new digital learning platform to support the learning in our classrooms. Our teachers will be using Schoology to show upcoming assignments and assessments. Many teachers will also use Schoology to link resources, documents, quizes and more. A few important things to know about Schoology:
We are excited to partner with Golden Services again this year for our all school fundraiser. This is the only all school fundraiser CRMS will participate in. All of our proceeds will go right back to the students via our extra curricular activities and programs. We will use the funds to help purchase uniforms, supplies, costumes, and more for each of our after school programs. Please support your student and our school by participating.
Our goal is $30,000 which is about 3 orders per student.
We are excited to announce that due to increased enrollment and higher than projected student counts, Coal Ridge will be adding additional teachers to the staff. This will help reduce class sizes as well as provide more offerings for our students. We are going to add two teaching positions for our 6th grade team. One teacher will teach Language Arts and Social Studies and the other will teach Math and Science. These positions have been posted through our Human Resources Department.
