SVVSD Celebration of Excellence

The St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation is thrilled to announce that the Celebration of Excellence nomination form opens on January 12th! This cherished annual event honors outstanding educators from every St. Vrain school who exemplify excellence in their roles and make extraordinary contributions to student success.

We invite students, parents, volunteers, fellow educators, school staff, community members, and business partners to nominate exceptional educators who inspire, innovate, and shape the future. In order to qualify, nominees must be licensed educators in the State of Colorado and employed at a St. Vrain Valley Schools campus for the current school year. Educators who received their school’s Educator of the Year honor within the past two years are not eligible.

Based on your nominations, one educator from each St. Vrain Valley school will be selected as their school’s Educator of the Year. These honorees will be recognized during the Celebration of Excellence on April 10, 2026, where a district-wide Educator of the Year will also be announced.

Nominations are open January 12 through February 1. Don’t miss this opportunity to recognize the educators who make a lasting impact in our schools and community!

Submit your nomination today: https://stvrainfoundation.org/programs/celebration-of-excellence/

Clothing Donations needed!

Illustration of various clothing items: a yellow hoodie, red tank top, blue jeans, a red shirt, and a pink shirt with a collar.

We are currently accepting clothing donations to support our middle school students, with a specific need for girls’ leggings, sweatpants, joggers, and other comfortable bottoms in middle school sizes. These items are often needed during the school day for a variety of reasons, and having extras on hand helps ensure students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. New or gently used items in clean, good condition are greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping care for our students and supporting our school community!

Meet the CRMS Staff: Red Hawk of the week

Each week, we’ll shine the spotlight on a member of our amazing staff, giving our families a chance to learn more about the people who make our school special.

Building Secretary

I was born in California and moved to Colorado with my family at the age of two. I have lived in Firestone ever since and truly consider it home. I began working at Frederick Middle School in 2002, which later became Coal Ridge Middle School in 2004. I am proud to have been part of the district for 23 years and continue to love my role as the Building Secretary. Being part of the Coal Ridge community and supporting our students and staff has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the mountains—camping, fishing, paddle boarding, ATVing, and embracing the outdoors whenever possible. I also love attending concerts, crafting, and being an aquarium hobbyist. Most importantly, I cherish spending quality time with my daughters, and I am especially excited to become a grandma this July. And of course, my three dogs happily join me on all of my adventures.
