Where Excellence Soars

8th grade students had a blast with “monster speed dating,” pairing up creatures to create Punnett Squares and predict the genetic and physical traits of their monster offspring.

What 150 track kids look like before practice… a whole lot of stretching and a little bit of chaos 😄
Parent Volunteers Needed – 8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance
The 8th grade semi-formal dance on May 1st is coming up! This special event is planned and organized by 8th grade parents, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make the night a success.
It’s an exciting time for our 8th graders and one of their last big opportunities to celebrate together before heading to high school.
If you’re interested in helping, please reach out to Brittney Green ([email protected]) or Sara Zaruba ([email protected]). We appreciate your support in making this a fun and memorable night for our students! ✨
ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool
St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.
After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.
Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.

The Coal Ridge Middle School Parent Advisory Group (PAG) is excited to celebrate our incredible teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, Monday, May 4th – Friday, May 8th!
Our goal is to show heartfelt appreciation to the amazing educators and support staff who pour their time, energy, and dedication into our students every single day. Throughout the week, PAG will be organizing special treats, surprises, and meaningful gestures to recognize their hard work and commitment.
We invite our CRMS families and community to partner with us by making a donation to help make this week extra special. Every contribution—big or small—helps us show just how much our teachers and staff are valued.

Pic of the Week

Our 8th graders had such an amazing trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City! From exploring historic landmarks to taking in the excitement of Times Square, they truly made the most of every moment. One of the highlights was seeing The Great Gatsby on Broadway—such a fun and memorable experience!
Meet the CRMS Staff: Red Hawk of the week
Each week, we’ll shine the spotlight on a member of our amazing staff, giving our families a chance to learn more about the people who make our school special.
Meet Mrs. Rachel Seeger

7th Grade Social Studies
I’m a Midwest girl at heart, but Colorado has truly become my home. When I’m not at school, my world revolves around family. Whether we’re out exploring or just hanging out at home, we’re a “do anything together” kind of family.
I’ve always been a bit of a nerd for pop culture and movies, and I absolutely love the process of writing and getting ideas down on paper. Honestly, I just love learning new things, which is why I hit the jackpot with this job. Every day with your students I learn new things about myself and your students. I love the time we get to explore the world together in class.
