Principal’s Update
April 7, 2023
Dear CRMS Parents and Guardians,
On Monday, we will begin our CMAS (Colorado Measures of Academic Success) testing for 2023. We will be testing first thing in the morning, and then students will attend their normal classes for the remainder of the day. Please encourage your child to do his or her best on these assessments. Not only does it give our students practice for future standardized tests, the assessments provide you with feedback on how your child is progressing in relation to peers across the state. Additionally, we use the data to set school goals and improve our instruction. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
Early next week, we will be sending home invitations for our honor roll students. We are excited to be celebrating all of our students who earned a 3.0 or higher during our third quarter. Celebrations will happen from 7 – 7:30 am on the following dates. Parents are invited to attend and take pictures.
April 18th – 6th grade
April 20th – 7th grade
April 21st – 8th grade
Lastly, please have your child take a look at our lost and found. We have a huge pile of clothing and water bottles that will be donated to Goodwill at the end of this month.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Liza

Track Meet at Frederick High School
Coal Ridge will be hosting the track meet at Frederick High School on Monday, April 10, beginning at 3:30 pm. There is no entry fee; everyone is welcome to come and cheer on our track students!
Dear parents of Coal Ridge Middle School,
We are contacting you on behalf of the yearbook committee because we would appreciate it if you would participate in our sales. Having a yearbook makes it so you are able to look back on the memories of your child’s middle school years, and watch how they have grown since 2023. The theme of this year’s yearbook is “Linked” and how we, as a community, will always have some sort of tie with this school year. Between friends and opportunities and fun memories, having a yearbook brings a solid tie or link to everything that happened in the 2022- 2023 school year, if you choose to purchase one for $49.

CMAS Testing Beginning April 10
CMAS testing will begin on Monday, April 10, and will last two weeks. Testing will begin promptly each morning at 7:45 am. We ask that students come to school on time and with a charged iPad, as they will be taking the test on the iPad. Students will take one test each day and then go to their regular schedule. We will be using a modified schedule. The modified bell schedule for CMAS testing can be found using the link below.
