Where Excellence Soars

School Wide Tardy Success Plan
Being on time to class helps students stay focused and prepared, ensuring they don’t miss key instructions and setting them up for success throughout the day. With the addition of our bell system, we have given students the first quarter to get used to getting to class on time. In order to support student success, we will implement a Red Hawk Tardy Plan to Support Student Success. Please click the button below:

Meet Mrs. Sarah Cavendar

8th Grade Language Arts
This is Mrs. Cavender’s 8th year at Coal Ridge Middle School, and she continues to bring a love of reading and connection to her classroom every day. She enjoys helping students discover the meaningful links between the characters and worlds they read about and their own lives. Seeing those “lightbulb moments” when students make their own discoveries is the highlight of her day! Outside of school, she admits to being fiercely competitive—but mostly at silly things that don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things (like over-analyzing the hidden messages in a movie or winning the family game of Risk).
Our school follows the Standard Response Procedures (SRP) to ensure student safety. You can read more about these safety protocols. Click below to read about the procedures.
