Principal’s Update
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are enjoying our first CRMS spirit day today. We will be wearing our Dynamite pride shirts the first Friday of every month. Next Wednesday is the first PLC late start for the 23-24 school year. Please note that school starts and buses run 2.5 hours later than usual. Students should be at school ready to start in the classroom by 10:15am on PLC days.
This week our 6th graders had the opportunity to meet with Lulu Buck, our SVVSD Equity and Community Engagement Coordinator. The focus of the presentation was on kindness and how our word choices matter and impact others. All of our 7th and 8th graders will have a presentation that expands on this content in the next few weeks.
Please take some time over the long weekend to have a discussion with your son/daughter about our school lunch program. We are fortunate to be in a state where our children are welcome to eat school lunch without a charge. Unfortunately, some students are taking food that they do not eat and then waste it and/or leave a mess for others to clean up. I would appreciate everyone having this conversation at home and then I will follow up with students and parents as necessary. Thank you for your support with this!
One last thing, many families have not signed the Code of Conduct or paid iPad insurance fees. These can both be completed through the parent portal of Infinite Campus.
As always, do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or suggestions.
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
Liza

Wired Headphones
As part of providing your children with a dynamite education, we utilize our online curriculums, and it is often necessary for students to use headphones to access the curriculum. We request that you send your child to school with wired headphones. We find that using wired headphones presents less distraction for students as the boundaries become clearer when to use the headphones and when not to use the headphones. We will have headphones for purchase in the library for $2.00.
