Where Excellence Soars

There will be no school on Monday, 1/19, as we honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday as we continue our learning and reflect on his legacy of service and equality.

Dream Big: 8th Grade Edition
Our 8th graders have been spending meaningful time creating vision boards while reflecting on what it means to leave a legacy at middle school. Through this process, they’re thinking beyond the present—considering the kind of students, leaders, and people they want to be remembered as, and how their choices today shape their future selves. It’s been inspiring to see them set goals, dream big, and take pride in the positive impact they can leave behind as they prepare for the next chapter.

Go Nuts for Giving!
A local 4-H club is hosting a peanut butter drive, please bring any donations to the front office! Thank you!

SVVSD Celebration of Excellence
The St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation is thrilled to announce that the Celebration of Excellence nomination form opens on January 12th! This cherished annual event honors outstanding educators from every St. Vrain school who exemplify excellence in their roles and make extraordinary contributions to student success.
We invite students, parents, volunteers, fellow educators, school staff, community members, and business partners to nominate exceptional educators who inspire, innovate, and shape the future. In order to qualify, nominees must be licensed educators in the State of Colorado and employed at a St. Vrain Valley Schools campus for the current school year. Educators who received their school’s Educator of the Year honor within the past two years are not eligible.
Based on your nominations, one educator from each St. Vrain Valley school will be selected as their school’s Educator of the Year. These honorees will be recognized during the Celebration of Excellence on April 10, 2026, where a district-wide Educator of the Year will also be announced.
Nominations are open January 12 through February 1. Don’t miss this opportunity to recognize the educators who make a lasting impact in our schools and community!
Submit your nomination today: https://stvrainfoundation.org/programs/celebration-of-excellence/

Clothing Donations needed!

We are currently accepting clothing donations to support our middle school students, with a specific need for girls’ leggings, sweatpants, joggers, and other comfortable bottoms in middle school sizes. These items are often needed during the school day for a variety of reasons, and having extras on hand helps ensure students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn. New or gently used items in clean, good condition are greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping care for our students and supporting our school community!
Meet the CRMS Staff: Red Hawk of the week
Each week, we’ll shine the spotlight on a member of our amazing staff, giving our families a chance to learn more about the people who make our school special.
Meet Mrs. Jen Phillips

Counselor
This is my 2nd week at CRMS and so far it is going well and I am getting to know many staff and students. I retired from SVVSD in July and was lured back to work by Mr. Jackson. I LOVE that Coal Ridge MS has a fun and friendly vibe. Middle school counseling is great because of the endless variety and adventure that each day brings. For fun I spend time playing, walking and hiking with my goldendoodle Birdie. I also enjoy standup paddle boarding and going to plays and concerts with my husband Chip. Fun fact about me…I love true crime documentaries and podcasts!
Infinite Campus
Infinite Campus is our student management system, where important information about your child is housed. You can use it to pay fees, update contact information, and check your child’s grades. If you need help logging in or creating an account, please look out for an email prompting you to do so. If you have any questions about Infinite Campus, please reach out to Traci Banker at 303-833-4176 or [email protected].
