Where Excellence Soars

🏀 6th graders hoopin’ it up for Hoops for Heart! ❤️
The Coal Ridge Middle School Parent Advisory Group (PAG) is excited to celebrate our incredible teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, Monday, May 4th – Friday, May 8th!
Our goal is to show heartfelt appreciation to the amazing educators and support staff who pour their time, energy, and dedication into our students every single day. Throughout the week, PAG will be organizing special treats, surprises, and meaningful gestures to recognize their hard work and commitment.
We invite our CRMS families and community to partner with us by making a donation to help make this week extra special. Every contribution—big or small—helps us show just how much our teachers and staff are valued.
Donate here: https://stvrain.revtrak.net/Middle-Schools-1162/coal-ridge-ms/crms-parent-advisory-group/
A formal itinerary of the week’s events will be communicated soon. Thank you for helping us celebrate and support the incredible team at Coal Ridge Middle School!

Help Your Child Make A Difference
We’ve made it fun and easy to raise donations using our online tool! You can help your student setup a customized web page with a photo or video and email it to friends and family asking for their support. Donations are made directly to your student’s web page – it’s that easy and something the family can do together! Help your child join their school team online and your family will be one step closer to being Heart Heroes helping to save lives!
With help from this year’s Heart Heroes, students are learning how to keep their hearts healthy through movement, kindness, rest, and knowing when to ask for help.
Join the fun by visiting HEART.ORG/SCHOOLS or downloading the AHA Schools app. Bonus: students receive a free wristband just for signing up!

The 7th Grade Dance was EPIC! A huge thank you to our Student Council for all the planning and hard work that made it possible. We also want to give a big shout-out to Mrs. Seeger and Mr. Ridgway for helping organize and supervise — we couldn’t have done it without you! What an awesome time at CRMS! 🎉

This is a reminder that energy drinks (such as Alani, Monster, Celsius, and similar beverages) are not allowed at school. These drinks contain very high levels of caffeine and stimulants that can increase heart rate, cause anxiety and headaches, and make it difficult for students to focus and learn. They can also lead to dehydration and sleep problems, which greatly affect school performance and behavior. Please help us by ensuring your student does not bring energy drinks to school and instead chooses water or other healthier options.

Pic of the Week

Sixth grade students at Coal Ridge Middle School learn to identify all the countries of North, Central, and South America in social studies. For students who want to go above and beyond, Mr. Ridgway offers a special challenge: master every country in the entire world, and he will treat you to a celebratory lunch. It’s a challenge that only a few students attempt—and even fewer successfully complete.
This year, Connor Fosdick achieved that incredible accomplishment! Congratulations, Connor, on becoming a true World Geography Master! 🌎👏
All-State Choir

Ms. Reavis and her All-State Choir students did an incredible job last week! Their hard work, dedication, and countless hours of practice truly paid off in a beautiful performance. We are so proud of the way they represented our school with both talent and professionalism. Thank you, Ms. Reavis, for inspiring and supporting our students, and congratulations to all of the singers on such an amazing accomplishment! 🎶

🆘 SOS: Kleenex Donations Needed! 🤧
Cold and flu season is here, and we are going through tissues fast! Our classrooms are in need of Kleenex to help keep students comfortable and learning without interruption.
If you’re able to donate a box (or a few!), please have your student bring them to the front office or give them to their advisory teacher. Every box truly helps and is so appreciated.
Thank you for answering our SOS and helping keep our school healthy! 💙
Meet the CRMS Staff: Red Hawk of the week
Each week, we’ll shine the spotlight on a member of our amazing staff, giving our families a chance to learn more about the people who make our school special.
Meet Mr. Mike Stover

6th grade Math
I have been at CRMS for 9 years, and my favorite part of working here is the staff—everyone is welcoming, supportive, and truly passionate about students. Recently, my wife and I have enjoyed traveling more, which has been a lot of fun. I also grew up attending schools in SVVSD, so it’s especially meaningful to now be part of the district.

Infinite Campus is our student management system, where important information about your child is housed. You can use it to pay fees, update contact information, and check your child’s grades.
