Principal’s Update
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This week marked the beginning of the Boy’s Basketball season and the end of our Cross Country season. We are very proud of all of our students in the after school activities. Please continue to watch the calendar for opportunities to participate. Our goal is to have every single student participate in at least one after school club, sport or activity.
Today our counselors, Connie Dewlen and Todd Jackson are at the Colorado ASCA (American School Counselors Association) conference presenting on how to become a RAMP certified school. Our school was recognized nationally as a RAMP certified school this year due to the amazing work our counselors have done related to the ASCA standards.
The end of quarter one is next Thursday. Final grades will be posted on Thursday October 19th. We will be inviting all of our students with a 3.5 grade point average and higher to an after school movie/party in early November.
Yesterday our 7th graders had the opportunity to work with Lulu Buck, our Education Equity and Community Engagement Coordinator. The focus of the presentation was on our district discrimination, harassment and bullying policies. Students had rich conversations and then took what they learned to develop a poster about kindness and anti-bullying. They created some amazing posters that we will be laminating and placing around the building. 8th graders will have a similar presentation next week.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Sincerely,
Liza
4-Day Weekend
There will be no school on Friday, Oct. 13, and Monday, Oct. 16. Please enjoy this time as a family, and we look forward to seeing the students on Tuesday, Oct. 17.

Non-School-Related Items
Parents, we are requesting your help in ensuring that students leave all non-school-related items at home. We have seen an increase in the number of toys and stuffed animals at school. These create a distraction in our classrooms.

Boys basketball has already begun, but it is not too late to sign up! Use the link below and reach out to Mr. Conway ([email protected]) or Mr. McDonald ([email protected]) with any questions.
