Principal’s Update
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are very excited to be celebrating our 3.5 and higher honor roll students next Friday, November 10th, with a movie and treat in the commons after school. If your child is participating, please plan to pick up promptly at 4:45. Invitations were sent out electronically last week and we will be following up with a paper invitation that afternoon as their ticket to the celebration.
A few reminders as we head into November:
Please remember that if we all work together the traffic flow goes much better for everyone before and after school. Please pull as far ahead as you can in the drop off lane and have your son/daughter ready to exit the car promptly. If you need to continue your conversation, please park the car to do so. Remember that our driveway is a school zone and the speed limit is 20 mph. It is also important that our students only exit and enter vehicles in the drop off zone. It slows traffic and is not safe to walk out into the traffic flow. Please give yourself extra time on weather days as we notice a large increase in the amount of drop offs. Thank you for following these guidelines in making drop off and pick up a more safe, efficient and pleasant experience for everyone.
As we move into winter weather please remind your child to dress accordingly. In addition to our mandatory drills each month, we never know when we might be asked to evacuate the building. When the temperature drops below 25 degrees the vestibule will be open at 7am and students are allowed into the commons area at 7:25am. Our hope is that students will be here, be comfortable, and be to class on time.
Thank you so much for your attention and support with these items.
Sincerely,
Liza
