Principal’s Update
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to celebrate our 2nd quarter Honor Roll students this week and next. Today we sent certificates home with all of our students who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during 2nd quarter. All students who earned a 3.5 or higher GPA have also been invited to attend a cookie and bingo extravaganza next Friday, January 26, from 3 – 3:30 pm.
Yesterday our Honor Choir students did an outstanding job representing CRMS at our district choir event. Tomorrow we wish our Future City team the best of luck at their competition at Colorado School of Mines in Golden.
If you have any concerns or questions, please be sure to sign up for Parent Teacher Conferences. We are hosting in person conferences Thursday February 1st and Tuesday February 6th.
Finally, 8th grade parents, please talk to your son or daughter about high school registration. High school counselors were here today to begin that registration process. During our conference evenings, our counselors will be available in the library from 5 – 5:30 with a short presentation about the transition to high school and will be available to answer any questions about that process.
We look forward to seeing you at conferences.
Sincerely,
Liza
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Coal Ridge Middle School invites you to our winter conferences on Feb. 1 and Feb. 6. We look forward to using this time to continue strengthening our partnership with you. Each conference will be 10 minutes long and in person at Coal Ridge Middle School. Please note that we have limited availability and ask that parents with concerns please take this opportunity to schedule a meeting with their child’s teachers. For questions or concerns with scheduling, please call Traci Banker (303-833-4176) in the front office. We will have Spanish translation available for each night.
Hearing and Vision Screening
There will be a vision and hearing screening at Coal Ridge Middle School on January 29, 2024, for all 7th grade students and students new to the school district. Your child(ren) may be on the list to be screened. Please encourage them to bring/wear their glasses to school on this day. If our screening indicates that your student needs further evaluation, you will be notified by mail. Please contact your health clerk if you have questions or concerns.
