Coal Ridge Middle School Weekly Bulletin

We were thrilled to welcome author Stan Yan to our 6th grade Lit Lab class as the students learned from Mr. Yan about character development in their writing.

Principal’s Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Last night we celebrated our scholars and inducted 40 new members into our National Junior Honor Society Chapter.  A huge thank you to Jodi Marsolek and Brittney Green for sponsoring this leadership opportunity for our students.

Tonight we will celebrate our 8th graders at our semi-formal.  This tradition is a great opportunity for 8th graders to reflect on their middle school years and socialize.  It is not too late – tickets will be available for purchase at the door.  Please plan to pick up your 8th graders promptly at 8 pm.

Once again, this summer we will be offering Project Launch as a summer opportunity for learning.  The program is completely free and includes breakfast and lunch as well as transportation.  This is not the traditional “summer school”.  In addition to having time each day to hone math and reading skills, we build in STEM time, games/activities and mindfulness.  PL runs Monday – Thursday from 7:45 am – 1:45 pm June 3 – 27.  Please sign up now as we have limited slots available for our current 6th and 7th graders.

Sincerely,

Liza

Our school is proud to announce that 40 students have been inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. The ceremony held last night was a beautiful celebration that recognized these outstanding scholars for their hard work and dedication. Congratulations to all the new inductees!
