Coal Ridge Middle School Weekly Bulletin

Our students had fun competing in the last Challenge Day activity of the year, our annual tug-of-war competition.

Principal’s Update

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is hard to believe that the end of the year is upon us! We have quite a few fun activities for our students on the last two days of school. On Wednesday, May 22, we will run our normal bell schedule, but we will take a break in the middle of the day to welcome our previous CRMS students graduating this year back into the building for the very special Grad Walk that happens every year. On Thursday, May 23, we will run a modified schedule for our annual talent show at 8:30 a.m. in the morning. If your child is performing in the talent show, we will have a few seats reserved for parents of the performers to come and watch. Guests will need to sign into the office and get a visitor badge. At 10:30 am, our 8th grade students will participate in a continuation ceremony. Parents of 8th grade students, please check your email; details about this event have already been sent out.

We are continuing to work with students on ending the 23-24 school year in a strong and positive manner.  Please take the opportunity to encourage your child to practice kindness and compassion with classmates as we end the year.

Once again, this summer we will be offering Project Launch as a summer opportunity for learning.  The program is completely free and includes breakfast and lunch as well as transportation.  This is not the traditional “summer school”.  In addition to having time each day to hone math and reading skills, we build in STEM time, games/activities and mindfulness.  PL runs Monday – Thursday from 7:45 am – 1:45 pm June 3 – 27.  Please sign up now as we have limited slots available for our current 6th and 7th graders.

Have a great weekend!

Liza

All PE lockers in the locker room must be cleaned out by 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 22. Any items left will be put in the lost and found.

Activity Bus

There will be no activity bus this week as there are no clubs this week.

If you are interested in having your child ride the bus for the 2024-2025 school year, please apply for transportation services as soon as possible. St. Vrain’s Transportation Department makes every effort to accommodate as many eligible riders as possible.

All of our music students gave an outstanding performance at the final concert of the year. Bravo!
