Thank you to all of the students and families who joined us in celebrating our incredible 8th grade class in our 8th Grade Continuation.
Principal Update
Dear Coal Ridge Community,
As we close the chapter on another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you—our dedicated students, supportive families, and exceptional staff. Together, you have made this year truly amazing.
Congratulations to Our 8th Graders
A special shout-out goes to our 8th-grade students who have officially completed their journey through middle school. Congratulations! As you move forward into high school, I am confident that you will continue to impress and achieve great things. Your future is bright, and I know you will be amazing.
Continuation Ceremony Success
Last evening, we celebrated a wonderful Continuation Ceremony with record-breaking attendance. Thank you for your patience with the parking and seating arrangements, and for bearing with us as our Commons warmed up. I assure you, the AC was on full blast! It was a memorable evening, and I am grateful to everyone who made it possible.
End of Year Celebrations
Today, we marked the end of our school year with morning activities followed by an All School Picnic. It was a joyful occasion, and a perfect way to close out the year.
Looking Ahead
As we say goodbye to this school year, I wish everyone a wonderful, restful summer. I am excited to welcome the incoming class of 6th graders and to start the 2025-2026 school year as the Coal Ridge Middle School Red Hawks. We will continue to build on the successes of this year, striving for Academic Excellence, strengthening our partnerships, and taking care of all our wonderful students.
Thank you once again for your support, enthusiasm, and dedication. Have a fantastic summer break, and I look forward to seeing you all in the new school year. Wishing you all the best! Enjoy the summer break, and see you next year as we continue to Rise, Soar, and Win!
Warm regards,
Natalee Swan, Principal

We love seeing our former Coal Ridge Middle School students return as graduates!
Parent Corner: Managing the iPad Over Summer
This summer, your children will have their iPads at home. We recommend that students limit their time on the iPad and focus on spending quality time with friends and family. It’s important for them to engage in device-free activities and enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Here are some tips for managing iPad usage over the summer:
- Parents, you have control over the device. Although it is your child’s school-issued iPad, you determine when and where your child can use it.
- You can change the passcode on the device to maintain control over its usage.
- Limit iPad use to less than one hour per day.
- Monitor your child’s email account to ensure they are using it safely and appropriately.
Encouraging your child to unplug and play this summer will help your child have a fun and relaxing summer.

We had fun celebrating the last day of school with Field Day!
