Where Excellence Soars

Thanksgiving Break: No School November 24-28
Our Week at CRMS…

Our 8th Grade Scientists exploring sound through the use of string and cups, while testing the different characteristics of the string.

This week, our 8th Grade WING Leaders organized a series of meaningful activities to celebrate Kindness Week. Each day, students participated in small but impactful acts that helped build a positive and supportive school community. Activities included sending compliments to peers, sharing acts of kindness, collaborating on a schoolwide Gratitude Tree by adding leaves with things they are thankful for, and writing thank-you cards to staff members.
Why It Matters
The power of giving a compliment:
- Boosts overall mood
- Increases happiness
- Builds stronger connections
The benefits of practicing gratitude:
- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Supports both mental and physical well-being
- Increases happiness and self-esteem
We are so proud of our students for creating a week filled with positivity and connection!

Meet the CRMS Staff: Red Hawk of the week
Each week, we’ll shine the spotlight on a member of our amazing staff, giving our families a chance to learn more about the people who make our school special.
Meet Mr. Ridgway

6th Grade History
This is Mr. Ridgway’s second year teaching at Coal Ridge, and there are two things that stand out to him the most. First is the culture—he believes there’s a school-wide commitment to making Coal Ridge a place where students truly want to be. Second is the incredible team he gets to work with; he states, “I genuinely love my colleagues”.
Outside of school, he enjoys spending time outdoors. Hiking, fly fishing, and camping are some of his favorite ways to recharge.
