Our Newest Red Hawk Has Landed
Our new Red Hawk mascot arrived at Coal Ridge this week, and now it’s time to give it a name! Students will have the opportunity to participate in choosing the perfect mascot name, and we’ll reveal the winning choice on Friday, December 19th. Stay tuned!
Matilda the Musical Jr. comes to CRMS
Dear Students & Families,
Thank you to every student who auditioned or applied for tech for Matilda the Musical Jr. – we were blown away. With nearly 70 students auditioning for cast and almost 50 applying for tech, this was an incredibly difficult decision. Every student who participated showed talent, courage, and heart, and we are so proud of all who put themselves out there. It was definitely a hard decision.
We are thrilled to officially announce our MATILDA CAST LIST! This is going to be a truly magical production, and we cannot wait to get started.

This is an essential meeting for all parents to get an overview of the production process, expectations, schedules, and how to best support their performer or technician throughout the show.
Music Rehearsals – Cast Only
December 16th & 17th | 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM
These first rehearsals will focus on music and design planning, so cast and crew members should plan to attend.

NJHS’s 1st Annual Animal Rescue Drive
Our NJHS chapter will be hosting our 1st annual Animal Rescue Drive here at Coal Ridge Middle School! We will be supporting 2 different organizations;
Luvin Arms Animal Sanctuary in Erie (farm animal rescue) and
Soul Dog Rescue in Fort Lupton (cat and dog rescue).
1st Annual Innovation Center Game Jam
WHAT: a one-day creative challenge where students design, code, and share their own video games — no prior experience required!
WHO: Middle and high school students
WHEN: December 6th
WHERE: Innovation Center
HOW: Using MakeCode Arcade, a browser-based platform that makes game creation approachable for all skill levels.
There is room for 50 students to attend for FREE and receive a free lunch!

Meet Mrs. Lesha Baker
Technology Instructor
Our technology teacher, Mrs. Baker, is celebrating seven years at Coal Ridge and says the best part of the job is getting to work with our amazing students and staff each day. Outside of school, she stays busy with two beloved black dogs—a standard poodle and a double doodle—who keep life fun and full of energy!
Infinite Campus
Infinite Campus is our student management system, where important information about your child is housed. You can use it to pay fees, update contact information, and check your child’s grades.
