Principal Update

Hello Coal Ridge Families,

We had a fantastic week at Coal Ridge Middle School! It’s hard to believe we are already in October, but time flies when great things are happening!

First, congratulations to our September Students of the Month! We are so proud of these students for their dedication and hard work.

Thank you to all the families and students who attended one of our three nights of parent-teacher conferences. We truly appreciate your involvement and commitment to our school community. A special thank you goes out to our National Junior Honor Society students and their families for keeping our staff well-fed during those evenings. Your generosity did not go unnoticed!

This week also marked our first band concert of the year. One of the highlights for me was hearing our 8th grade band perform our school song, composed by none other than our very own Mr. Anderson! Of course, every performance piece was amazing, and we are so proud of our talented musicians.

Looking ahead, next week will be a short one as we wrap up the first quarter. On Thursday, we will have a school-wide assembly to celebrate the end of the quarter, and it’s sure to be a lot of fun!

As we head into the second quarter, please know that my door is always open. I welcome the opportunity to meet with anyone who has questions or concerns. Thank you again for your partnership and for sending us such wonderful students every day.

Enjoy the weekend!

Best regards,

Natalee Swan, Principal

Parent Corner: Charging the iPad

The iPad is a critical tool for student success. A large part of a student’s schoolwork is done on the iPad. The iPad is an essential tool for student success between online curriculums, digital assignments, and turning in digital work via Schoology. It is important that your child comes to school with a charged iPad daily. Work with your child to establish a charging station in a common location so that they can develop the habit of charging it every night, ensuring it is ready for the next day.
