Our Spanish students had a great time playing Lotería in class! 🎉 This traditional Mexican game, similar to bingo, helps students practice their Spanish vocabulary while having fun. It’s always exciting to see students learning the language through interactive games and cultural activities!

Our 6th, 7th, 8th, and Jazz Bands put on an incredible concert! 🎶 The hard work, dedication, and talent of our student musicians truly shined on stage. From our beginning players to our more advanced performers, every group did an amazing job and made the night a huge hit. We’re so proud of the effort these students put in and grateful to our band program for creating such a fun and memorable performance! 🎺🥁🎷

Congratulations to the following Red Hawk wrestlers for an outstanding season-ending tournament! ❤️🖤 Your hard work, determination, and grit on the mat all season long truly paid off. We’re proud of the way you represented CRMS and the Red Hawk spirit. Way to finish strong! 💪🤼‍♂️

Parent Volunteers Needed – 8th Grade Semi-Formal Dance

The 8th grade semi-formal dance on May 1st is coming up! This special event is planned and organized by 8th grade parents, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make the night a success.

It’s an exciting time for our 8th graders and one of their last big opportunities to celebrate together before heading to high school.

Track and Field season is right around the corner! These sign-up posters are hung up around the school, so please remind your students to check them out and sign up if they’re interested in participating. It’s a great opportunity to get involved, stay active, and show some Red Hawk pride! 🏃‍♂️🦅

ParentSquare: Our New District Communication Tool

St. Vrain Valley Schools will begin using ParentSquare, a new district communication tool that allows families to receive notifications based on their preferences. St. Vrain’s communications team will pilot ParentSquare for the remainder of the school year with the plan to expand access to schools at the start of the 2026-27 school year. We’re excited about the opportunities ParentSquare offers to streamline communication and will be working towards consolidating several of the tools families currently use into one convenient platform.

After spring break, parents and guardians will receive an email invitation to activate their ParentSquare account. This will allow families to download the mobile app, set language preferences, and choose how and when they receive notifications.

Visit the district website to learn more about ParentSquare.

Reminder: Students are not permitted to wear earbuds throughout the entire school day. Earbuds may only be used in specific classes when a teacher has given permission for instructional purposes. Outside of those approved times, earbuds should be put away.

Thank you for helping us maintain a focused and respectful learning environment!

The Coal Ridge Middle School Parent Advisory Group (PAG) is excited to celebrate our incredible teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, Monday, May 4th – Friday, May 8th!

🆘 SOS: Kleenex & Hand Sanitizer Donations Needed! 🤧🧴

Cold and flu season is here, and we are going through tissues fast! Our classrooms are in need of Kleenex and hand sanitizer to help keep students comfortable, healthy, and learning without interruption.

If you’re able to donate a box of tissues or a bottle of hand sanitizer (or a few!), please have your student bring them to the front office or give them to their advisory teacher. Every donation truly helps and is so appreciated.

Thank you for answering our SOS and helping keep our school healthy! 💙

Meet the CRMS Staff: Red Hawk of the week

Each week, we’ll shine the spotlight on a member of our amazing staff, giving our families a chance to learn more about the people who make our school special.

7th Grade Math

I’ve been at CRMS for five years and truly enjoy being part of this community. One of my favorite parts of working with middle schoolers is building connections with students and getting to see those exciting “a-ha!” moments when something finally clicks.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, crocheting, running, playing games, birdwatching, and spending time with my husband and son. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Australia when I was little!
